A few days ago I had to Google images of war because I had forgotten what it looked like. We used to have SS textbooks containing these PG-rated pictures – recall the Iraq-Kuwait conflict and the little section on the Highway of Death, but no accompanying photos of actual charred dead bodies. It makes you feel like war is just about tanks and explosions but never people.

Here is a picture to remind us what “modernization” looks like.
